February 18, 2021 Winter Weather Update

To our Edgemere Residents, Family Members, and Team Members:

We want to provide you an update on the Edgemere community.

We are making strides toward recovering from the winter storm. However, we still face many challenges in making sure our residents are warm and comfortable.

Despite the fact that we’ve had electricity for 24 hours, we are experiencing fluctuations in our system’s ability to maintain the proper temperature. We had one company come out and investigate, but they found no issues. We have called a second company and will have them reassess the system to try and figure out why temperatures are not holding.

We are also going through the entire community looking for any evidence of burst water pipes. With the limited staff on hand, this will take some time to complete.

We know residents who have left the community to stay with friends are eager to return to their homes. We ask that if possible, you wait until we have 24 hours of consistent temperatures and we have had the opportunity to search for broken water pipes throughout the community.

Our Plaza is fully operational and our residents there are warm and safe.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work as quickly as possible to return Edgemere to full operations.

Thank you.
